Duffy?s Napa Valley Rehab is growing and seeking to immediately hire a full-time Addiction Counselor. Located in Calistoga in the beautiful Napa Valley, Duffy?s has been treating adults with drug and alcohol addiction for 50 years. Considered a leader in the field of drug and alcohol treatment, our compassionate and caring program provides our guests with the newest advances in addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide drug and alcohol counseling and support to guests within the social model
  • Give educational lectures and lead interactive workshops following The Duffy?s curriculum
  • Facilitate and lead group counseling sessions
  • Supervise the confidentiality, maintenance, and accuracy of guest records and counseling sessions
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interviews, progress and treatment plans
  • Counsel with family members as appropriate
  • Liaison with outside health, state and insurance agencies to communicate guests? progress when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the 12-step Methodology
  • Certification in substance abuse and recovery counseling
  • Ability to do needs and risk assessment and have an understanding of crisis management
  • Case Management and confidential recordkeeping experience
  • Prior experience with group counseling and facilitation
  • Prior experience with teaching education curriculum to a larger audience and facilitating workshops
  • General understanding of Social Model Program in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility
  • General understanding of state and HIIPA guidelines as they are relevant to confidential information
  • Ability to remain calm, confident and compassionate during stressful situations

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred Master?s degree in Counseling psychology, Sociology or related field
  • BA / BS in Psychology, Sociology or related field with a minimum of 4 years? experience in Counseling

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
